What Is Motion?

Motion is when something changes its position — it moves from one place to another! A ball rolling across the floor is in motion. A bird flying through the sky is in motion. A car driving down the road is in motion. Even you walking to school is motion! When something is NOT moving, we say it is 'at rest.' A book sitting on a table is at rest. A parked car is at rest.
