Help Is Not Weakness
Some people think asking for help means you are weak or dumb. That is 100 percent WRONG.
Asking for help is actually one of the SMARTEST and BRAVEST things you can do. Here is why:
Smart: You recognize that someone else has knowledge or skills that can help you learn. That is self-awareness!
Brave: It takes courage to admit you need help. It is much easier (but not better) to silently struggle or pretend you understand when you do not.
Efficient: Getting help means you solve the problem faster and learn more effectively than struggling alone for hours.
EVERYONE needs help sometimes:
- Doctors ask other doctors for opinions
- Scientists work in teams
- Athletes have coaches
- Even teachers ask other teachers for advice
- Presidents have entire teams of advisors
If the smartest, most successful people in the world ask for help, you should never feel bad about doing it too!
