Islands and Peninsulas

An island is a piece of land completely surrounded by water. Islands can be tiny or enormous. Hawaii is a group of islands in the Pacific Ocean. To get to an island, you usually need a boat or an airplane. Islands have beautiful beaches and unique plants and animals.
