Why Songs Work
Have you ever noticed that you can remember the words to a song you have not heard in months? That is because your brain LOVES music!
Melody (the tune) and rhythm (the beat) create extra memory hooks. When information is set to music, your brain stores it in MULTIPLE places β the language area AND the music area.
You probably already learned the alphabet using the ABC song! That is a memory song in action.
