Carbohydrates: Your Energy Fuel
Carbohydrates are your body's main energy source. They break down into glucose (sugar) that powers your muscles, brain, and every cell. COMPLEX carbs (whole grains, oats, brown rice) release energy slowly for long-lasting fuel. SIMPLE carbs (candy, soda, white bread) give quick energy but fade fast. Your brain alone uses about 20% of all the carb energy you eat!
