Ancient Greek Discovery
Over 2,500 years ago, the Greek mathematician Pythagoras discovered that musical harmony is based on simple number RATIOS. He found that a string cut exactly in half (ratio 2:1) sounds one octave higher. A string cut to 2/3 its length (ratio 3:2) creates a perfect 5th — one of the most pleasing sounds in music. Math and music have been linked for thousands of years!
