A Protest in Boston Harbor
On December 16, 1773, a group of colonists called the Sons of Liberty made a bold protest. They dressed up as Mohawk Indians, boarded three British ships in Boston Harbor, and dumped 342 chests of tea into the water! This event became known as the Boston Tea Party. It was not a party — it was a protest!
