The suffix -ment turns a verb into a noun. It means the act of or the result of. Enjoy becomes enjoyment (the act of enjoying). Move becomes movement (the act of moving). Agree becomes agreement (the result of agreeing). When you see -ment, you know the word is a thing, not an action.
