IR Section Structure and Scoring
The GMAT Integrated Reasoning section contains 12 questions in 30 minutes, scored separately on a 1-8 scale. The four question types are: Multi-Source Reasoning (MSR), Table Analysis, Graphics Interpretation, and Two-Part Analysis. In the GMAT Focus Edition, IR is one of three scored sections alongside Quantitative Reasoning and Verbal Reasoning, each scored 60-90. Multi-Source Reasoning presents 2-3 tabs of information β emails, memos, charts β and tests your ability to synthesize across sources. Crucially, MSR includes statements marked 'yes/no' or 'would/would not' that must all be answered correctly for the question to count.
