Folding a Heart
Let us fold a beautiful heart! Use red, pink, or purple paper for a classic look.
Step 1: Start with a square piece of paper, colored side down. Valley fold it in half from bottom to top, then unfold. Valley fold it in half from left to right, then unfold. You now have a cross-shaped crease in the center.
Step 2: Fold the bottom edge up to the center line.
Step 3: Flip the paper over. Fold the bottom left corner and bottom right corner up so they meet at the top center point. You should see a triangle on each side with a gap in the middle.
Step 4: Flip the paper over again. Fold the side points inward so they meet in the center.
Step 5: Fold the top two corners down just a little bit. These small folds turn the sharp points at the top into the rounded bumps of a heart shape!
Step 6: Flip it over — there is your heart! The front should be a beautiful, smooth heart shape.
