Drawing Hair
Hair is one of the most fun parts to draw because everyone's hair is so different!
Straight hair: draw long, smooth lines going down from the top of the head. The lines can go past the ears, to the shoulders, or even longer. Add a part on the side or in the middle.
Curly hair: draw loops, spirals, and wavy lines. Curly hair is bouncy and full of movement! Make the curls big and loose or small and tight, depending on your hair type.
Afro hair: draw a big, round fluffy shape around the head. Fill it in with small curly lines and spirals. Afro hair is beautiful and full of volume!
Braids: draw two lines going down next to each other, then add criss-cross lines connecting them. It looks like a zipper pattern. You can draw one braid, two braids, or many braids.
Short hair: draw short lines going outward from the top and sides of the head. Spiky hair goes straight up. A buzz cut is just a thin layer following the head shape.
Ponytail or bun: draw a hair tie circle on top or behind the head, then the hair fanning out from it.
What does YOUR hair look like? What color is it? Look in a mirror and really study your hairstyle!
