A Rainbow of Fruits
Fruits come in every color of the rainbow! Let us meet some fruity friends:
RED fruits: Strawberries are small, heart-shaped, and sweet with tiny seeds on the outside. Watermelon is huge, green on the outside and bright red inside with black seeds. Cherries are tiny, round, and come in pairs on stems.
ORANGE fruits: Oranges have a thick peel you have to remove. Inside are juicy sections called segments. Tangerines are like small, easy-to-peel oranges. Mangoes are tropical, sweet, and have a big flat seed inside.
YELLOW fruits: Bananas come in their own natural wrapper — just peel and eat! Pineapple is prickly on the outside but sweet and tangy inside. Lemons are very sour but great for adding flavor.
Each fruit has its own special taste, texture, and look. Some are sweet, some are tart, some are juicy, and some are crunchy. That is what makes fruit salad so exciting — every bite is different!
