Fun Fruit Art
Fruit salad does not have to be in a boring bowl! You can make fruit art!
Fruit Rainbow: Arrange rows of fruit in rainbow order on a plate — red strawberries, orange segments, yellow pineapple, green kiwi, blueberries, purple grapes. It looks like an edible rainbow!
Fruit Smiley Face: On a big plate, use a banana curve for a smile, two blueberries for eyes, and a strawberry for a nose. Add grape hair on top!
Fruit Caterpillar: Line up round fruits in a row — grape, strawberry, blueberry, grape, strawberry. Add pretzel stick antennae and raisin eyes to the first fruit.
Fruit Flower: Put a round fruit (like a mandarin segment) in the center. Arrange strawberry halves around it like petals. Use a celery stick or green grape line as the stem.
Making food look fun makes it even more enjoyable to eat. When you create art with fruit, you are using creativity AND making healthy choices!
