Homes Around the World

People around the world build homes from many different materials! In some parts of Africa, homes are made from mud bricks and have thatched grass roofs. In Japan, traditional homes use wood and paper sliding doors called shoji. In the Arctic, some indigenous people historically built igloos from blocks of packed snow. Each type of home is perfectly suited for its climate.
