What Are Diyas?
Diyas are small clay oil lamps that are the most important symbol of Diwali. They are made from clay, filled with oil, and have a cotton wick that burns with a warm, golden flame. During Diwali, families place diyas all around their homes, on windowsills, doorsteps, and rooftops. The tiny lights look like a sea of stars on the ground!
