Making a Growth Chart
You have been measuring your bean every day and writing the numbers in your journal. Now it is time to turn those numbers into a picture called a chart or graph.
A bar graph is a picture that uses bars to show numbers. Taller bars mean bigger numbers. Here is how to make one:
Along the bottom, write the days: Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, and so on.
Up the side, write the heights: 0 cm, 1 cm, 2 cm, 3 cm, and so on.
For each day, draw a bar that reaches up to the height your plant was that day.
When you are done, you can see your plant's growth story at a glance! The bars should get taller over time, showing your plant growing bigger and bigger.
