Counting Building Materials
The three little pigs each built a house! The first pig used STRAW, the second used STICKS, and the third used BRICKS. Let us count the materials!
The straw pig used 10 bundles of straw. Count with me: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10! Ten bundles.
The stick pig used 15 sticks. Count: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15! Fifteen sticks.
The brick pig used 20 bricks. Count: 1 through 20! That is a LOT of bricks. No wonder it was the strongest house!
Which pig used the MOST materials? The brick pig (20). Which used the LEAST? The straw pig (10). The brick pig used 10 MORE bricks than the straw pig used bundles of straw. 20 - 10 = 10!
