Foods Your Teeth Love
Some foods actually HELP your teeth stay healthy!
Crunchy fruits and vegetables: Apples, carrots, celery, and cucumbers. Chewing crunchy foods scrubs your teeth naturally and stimulates saliva (spit), which washes away bacteria. Think of an apple as a natural toothbrush!
Dairy: Cheese, milk, and yogurt. These contain calcium that strengthens your teeth and enamel. Cheese also raises the pH in your mouth, making it less acidic (less friendly for bacteria).
Water: The best drink for your teeth! Water rinses away food particles and bacteria. It also contains fluoride (in most tap water) which strengthens enamel.
Nuts and seeds: Crunchy and low in sugar, these are great tooth-friendly snacks.
Leafy greens: Spinach and kale are high in calcium and vitamins that promote oral health.
