Each food group has its own superpower for your body!
Fruits: Vitamin Power! Fruits are packed with vitamins (especially vitamin C) that help your body fight germs and heal cuts. They also give you quick natural energy from their natural sugars. Oranges help your immune system. Bananas give you potassium for strong muscles.
Vegetables: Shield Power! Vegetables protect your body with vitamins, minerals, and fiber. Dark leafy greens like spinach give you iron for healthy blood. Carrots give you vitamin A for good eyesight. Broccoli has vitamin K for helping your blood clot when you get a cut.
Grains: Energy Power! Grains are your body's main fuel source. They give you energy to run, play sports, think in school, and stay active all day. Without grains, you would feel tired and sluggish. Whole grains give you longer-lasting energy than processed grains.
