A Healthy Day of Eating
Let us plan a whole day of healthy eating! You need breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. By the end of the day, you should have eaten from all five food groups.
Healthy Breakfast Ideas:
- Oatmeal (grain) with banana slices (fruit) and a glass of milk (dairy)
- Whole wheat toast (grain) with scrambled eggs (protein) and orange juice (fruit)
- Yogurt (dairy) with granola (grain) and berries (fruit)
Breakfast is the most important meal because it breaks your overnight fast (that is why it is called break-fast!) and gives your brain energy for school.
