Why Do We Care for Books?

Books are like treasures! They hold stories, pictures, and information inside. Some books are VERY old — they have been read by hundreds of kids before you!

When you take care of a book, it lasts a long time. Other kids can read it after you. Your little brother or sister might read the same book one day! Taking care of books is a way of being kind to everyone who reads them.
