Ten-Frame Intro: 5+5 and 10+0

The number 10 is the most important number in our counting system. We group things in tens everywhere: 10 fingers, 10 toes, 10 pennies in a dime, 10 years in a decade. When you can quickly break 10 apart and put it back together, math becomes much easier. Today we start learning all the ways two numbers can add up to 10. These are called bonds of 10.
