Measuring with Paper Clips

Before people had rulers, they measured with things like their feet, their hands, or small objects. You can measure things using paper clips, blocks, or even your thumb! These are called non-standard units because they are not official measuring tools. To measure, place the units end to end along the object and count how many fit.
