Musical Chairs
Time for musical chairs! The game starts with 8 chairs and 9 players. When the music stops, someone is OUT — one chair is removed each round.
Round 1: 8 chairs, 9 players → 1 player is out. Now 8 players.
Round 2: 7 chairs, 8 players → 1 more out. Now 7 players.
Round 3: 6 chairs, 7 players → 1 more out. Now 6 players.
See the pattern? Each round we subtract 1 chair AND 1 player. There are ALWAYS one fewer chairs than players.
**Think About It:** How many rounds until there's 1 chair and 2 players? Starting from 8 chairs, we need 7 more rounds!
