There are 2 swings and 8 kids waiting. If each kid gets 1 turn, how many rounds will it take?
Round 1: 2 kids swing (6 still waiting)
Round 2: 2 more kids (4 waiting)
Round 3: 2 more kids (2 waiting)
Round 4: last 2 kids (0 waiting)
4 rounds for everyone to get a turn! We used 2+2+2+2 = 8.
Fairness means everyone gets the SAME number of turns. If some kids got 2 turns while others got 0, that wouldn't be fair!
**Think About It:** Skip counting by 2s: 2, 4, 6, 8. We count 4 numbers to reach 8. That's 4 rounds!
