Mia Wants Two Toys!
Mia sees a sticker book for 3 coins and a bouncy ball for 4 coins. She wants BOTH! But how much will they cost together?
When we buy more than one thing, we ADD the prices. 3 + 4 = 7. Both toys together cost 7 coins.
We can use 'counting on' to add. Start at 3 (the price of the sticker book) and count up 4 more: 'Four, five, six, seven!' We land on 7.
**Think About It:** If Mia has 10 coins, can she buy both? Yes! 7 is less than 10.
