Feeding Time — The Right Food for Each Pet

Every animal eats different food! Dogs eat dog food — kibble (crunchy) or wet food (soft and meaty). Cats eat cat food, which has lots of protein from meat. NEVER feed cat food to dogs or dog food to cats — their bodies need different nutrition!

Fish eat tiny flakes or pellets that float on the water. Just a small pinch is enough! Too much food makes the water dirty. Rabbits eat hay (dried grass), fresh vegetables like carrots and lettuce, and a few special rabbit pellets.

Hamsters eat a mix of seeds, grains, and small pieces of fresh vegetables. They stuff food into their cheek pouches to save for later — they are like little food hoarders!
