The New Baby

Mom and Dad have big news. A new baby is coming! Jake is not sure how he feels. Will Mom and Dad still play with him? The baby comes home. She is very small. She cries a lot. Jake covers his ears. 'She is too loud!' he says. But then the baby holds Jake's finger. She stops crying. She looks at Jake with big eyes. Jake smiles. 'I think she likes me,' says Jake. Dad says, 'You are going to be a great big brother.' Jake feels proud. He reads the baby a story. She falls asleep. Jake whispers, 'Good night, little sister.'
