Story: Oliver the Old Oak Tree
Oliver is the tallest tree in the park. He has been growing for one hundred years! His trunk is thick and strong. His branches reach high into the sky. In spring, Oliver grows new green leaves. Birds build nests in his branches. Squirrels run up and down his trunk. In summer, Oliver gives cool shade. Kids sit under him to read books. In fall, Oliver's leaves turn red, orange, and yellow. They fall to the ground like little parachutes. In winter, Oliver has no leaves. He is bare. But he is still standing strong, waiting for spring to come again.
