Sunrise and Sunset

Every morning, the sun appears to rise up from the horizon — the line where the sky meets the ground. This is called sunrise! The sky starts dark, then turns pink and orange and gold as the sun peeks up. Roosters crow, birds start singing, and the world wakes up! Sunrise does not mean the sun is moving up — it means the Earth has spun so your part is starting to face the sun again.
