Tiny Plankton, Big Job!
The ocean food chain starts with something you can barely see! Phytoplankton are tiny, tiny plants that float in the water. They are so small you need a microscope to see them. But there are billions and billions of them! Phytoplankton use sunlight to make food, just like plants on land. They also make a lot of the oxygen we breathe! Even though they are tiny, they are super important.
