Why Do Plants Make Flowers?
Flowers are not just pretty β they have an important job! Flowers help plants make new seeds. Inside a flower, there is pollen, which looks like yellow dust. Pollen needs to get from one flower to another. This is called 'pollination.' Bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds help with this! When a bee visits a flower to drink nectar, pollen sticks to its fuzzy body. When the bee flies to the next flower, the pollen rubs off. Now that flower can start making seeds!
