Plants Are All Around Us

Look around you — plants are everywhere! Grass in the yard, trees in the park, flowers in a garden, and even weeds poking through cracks in the sidewalk. We eat parts of plants every day. Carrots are roots! Celery is a stem! Lettuce is leaves! Broccoli is actually tiny flower buds! And apples, oranges, and bananas are fruits with seeds inside. Plants give us food, shade, fresh air, and beauty.
