Magnets Have Two Poles
Every magnet has two ends called poles. One end is the North pole and the other end is the South pole. The poles are where the magnet's power is strongest! If you dip a magnet in a pile of paper clips, most clips will stick to the ends (the poles), not the middle. The poles are labeled N and S. Every magnet in the whole world has a North pole and a South pole β even tiny ones!
