Hard and Soft

Everything you touch has properties — that means special qualities you can feel and describe! One property is how hard or soft something is. Knock on a table — it is hard! Squeeze a stuffed animal — it is soft! Hard things do not squish when you push on them. Soft things change shape when you press. A rock is hard. A marshmallow is soft. Your teeth are hard. Your tongue is soft!
