Condensation — Clouds Form!

When water vapor floats high up in the sky, something amazing happens. The air up high is COLD! The cold air makes the water vapor cool down and turn back into tiny, tiny water droplets. This is called condensation! Con-den-SA-tion. It is the opposite of evaporation. Evaporation turns water into gas. Condensation turns gas back into water. Billions and billions of these tiny droplets stick together and make a CLOUD!
