Autumn Holidays
Autumn is FULL of fun holidays and celebrations!
Halloween (October 31): People dress up in costumes, carve pumpkins into jack-o-lanterns, and go trick-or-treating for candy. Halloween has ancient roots β it started as a Celtic festival called Samhain over 2,000 years ago!
Thanksgiving (November, USA): A holiday for being thankful. Families gather for a big feast with turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberries, and pumpkin pie. It celebrates the harvest and spending time with loved ones.
Dia de los Muertos (November 1-2, Mexico): The Day of the Dead is a beautiful celebration honoring loved ones who have passed away. Families build colorful altars with flowers, candles, photos, and their loved ones' favorite foods.
