Sharing at School
School is full of sharing opportunities! Here is how to be a sharing champion in the classroom:
Art supplies: If there is one box of crayons for the table, take the colors you need and pass it along. Do not hog the whole box!
Books: If two people want the same book, take turns. Read it for a set time, then pass it to the next person.
Computers and tablets: Use a timer so everyone gets equal time.
Ideas: During group work, share YOUR ideas AND listen to others' ideas. The best ideas often come from combining different people's thoughts!
Space: Scoot over to make room. Do not spread out so much that others have no space.
Words to use:
- 'Can I have a turn when you are done?'
- 'Would you like to use this?'
- 'We can share these together!'
- 'I will use the red, and you can have the blue.'
