Being a Sharing Role Model
A sharing role model is someone who shows others how to share through their actions. You can be a sharing role model!
Sharing role models:
- Share without being asked. They see someone needs something and offer it.
- Share happily, not grudgingly. They do not pout or complain when sharing.
- Help others learn to share. They teach younger kids how to take turns.
- Notice when someone is left out and include them.
- Say kind things like 'Your turn!' and 'You can go first!'
When you are a sharing role model, something magical happens: OTHER people start sharing more too! Sharing is contagious. When people see you being generous, they want to be generous too.
You can start a sharing chain: you share with one person, they share with someone else, and on and on until EVERYONE is sharing!
