Pájaro — Bird!
The Spanish word for bird is pájaro! It sounds like PAH-hah-roh. Birds fly in the sky, sing beautiful songs, and build nests in trees. In Spanish, the little accent mark over the first A tells you to stress that syllable: PAH-hah-roh. Think of a colorful parrot — parrot and pájaro even sound a little similar! Look out the window — can you spot a pájaro?
