Three CVC Animal Words
CAT, DOG, and PIG are all CVC words — consonant, vowel, consonant. CAT is C-A-T. DOG is D-O-G. PIG is P-I-G. Each word has exactly three sounds and three letters. Say them slowly and tap a finger for each sound: /k/ /a/ /t/, /d/ /o/ /g/, /p/ /i/ /g/.
