Fish, Bird, and Cow

FISH has four letters: F-I-S-H. The SH at the end is a digraph — two letters that make one sound: /sh/. Say it slowly: /f/ /i/ /sh/. Even though there are four letters, there are only three sounds. Fish live in water and come in many colors.
