What Are Directions?

Directions are instructions that tell you what to do. You hear directions all day long!

Your teacher says: 'Please sit down.' That is a direction!

Your parent says: 'Brush your teeth.' That is a direction too!

A recipe says: 'Mix the flour and eggs.' Even that is a direction!

Directions help us know what to do so things go smoothly. Without directions, we would not know how to play games, build things, or get ready for school.
