Meet the Keyboard

A keyboard is a tool that lets you TYPE on a computer or tablet. It has lots of buttons called KEYS. When you press a key, a letter, number, or symbol appears on the screen!

Keyboards come in different forms:

• A physical keyboard that is attached to a computer

• A pop-up keyboard on a tablet screen (called an on-screen keyboard)

Both work the same way — press a key and it shows up on screen!
