What Is a Comic Strip?
A comic strip is a story told in a series of pictures, one after another! You read it from left to right, just like reading words.
Each box in a comic strip is called a panel. Most simple comic strips have 3 panels:
- Panel 1: The beginning (what is happening at the start)
- Panel 2: The middle (something happens or changes!)
- Panel 3: The end (how it turns out)
Comic strips use pictures AND words together. Characters can talk using speech bubbles. You can write sound effects like BOOM, SPLASH, or MEOW. And you can write what is happening under each panel.
Comic strips are a fun way to tell stories because you can show action happening over time. A single drawing shows one moment, but a comic strip shows a whole adventure!
