Telling Your Story Out Loud
You have drawn amazing picture stories and added words and labels. Now comes the fun part: sharing your story with others!
When you share your drawing, hold it up so everyone can see. Then tell them about it:
- Start with the title: 'My story is called My Day at the Park.'
- Tell what is happening: 'In my picture, I am on the slide and my dog is running.'
- Point to your labels: 'See? I labeled the slide, the sun, and my dog Max.'
- Share your feelings: 'This was a really fun day and I was happy!'
Speaking about your drawing is called narrating. You are the narrator of your own story! The more you practice telling your story, the better you get at it.
