Listening to Stories & Retelling (PREK)

Listening to stories is like going on exciting adventures! When we listen carefully, we can imagine the story in our minds, just like watching a movie. Good listeners remember important details: WHO is in the story, WHERE the story takes place, and WHAT happens throughout the story. These details help us understand and enjoy the story even more! Let’s practice listening to a story together and see what we can remember! After we listen, we can talk about our favorite parts and share what we imagined. This will help us become even better listeners and storytellers!
