Understanding the LSAT Format
The LSAT consists of four scored sections: two Logical Reasoning sections, one Analytical Reasoning section, and one Reading Comprehension section. The test is 3 hours and 30 minutes in length (including a break). Each section is 35 minutes. There are approximately 99-101 scored questions total. The LR sections each contain 24-26 questions; AR contains 22-24 questions across 4 logic games; and RC contains 26-28 questions across 4 passages. Scores range from 120 to 180, with a median around 150. Because LR constitutes half the scored questions, it is the single most important section for improving your score. The LSAT is administered digitally through LSAC and is scored on a percentile basis β a 170 represents approximately the 97thβ98th percentile.
