Curation Over Collection
A portfolio is not a gallery of every good image you've taken—it's a curated argument for hiring you. Show 15-30 of your absolute best images, organized by genre or project. Each image should demonstrate a skill the client needs: lighting control, emotional connection, compositional precision, or post-processing mastery. Remove any image you wouldn't want to recreate on a paid shoot. Art buyers and photo editors review hundreds of portfolios; they form an opinion within 10 seconds. Your weakest image defines their perception of your ceiling, not your strongest one.
