Wyoming passed HB 46 (Homeschool Freedom Act, effective July 1, 2025), making it the 12th state with no government filing requirement for families who never enrolled in public school. Families withdrawing from public school must notify the district but are no longer required to submit an annual curriculum plan. Seven core subjects must be taught in a sequentially progressive curriculum for children ages 7–16 (or until 10th grade). No testing, no teacher qualifications, no reporting.
Wyoming does not require advance notice to begin homeschooling — you can start whenever you're ready.
